A private hot air balloon ride in Marrakech means the basket carries only your group and the pilot, at sunrise, over the countryside outside the city. It costs €360 per person for 2 people and €330 per person for 5 or more; for 3 or 4 people we quote on request. Your morning, step by step
Pickup
We collect your group from your hotel or riad – around 5:00 in summer, around 7:00 in winter. The exact time comes the evening before.
Arrival at the field
A short drive outside Marrakech to the field chosen for the wind. Tea, coffee and msemen while your balloon is laid out.
Your balloon inflates
You watch the crew fill your envelope and light the burner. With only your group there, it is easy to get close-up photos.
Briefing and lift-off
The pilot briefs your group in person and shows you the landing position before the basket lifts gently off the ground.
Your flight
Villages, olive groves and the Atlas skyline as the sun rises. Ask the pilot anything – the conversation is yours alone.
Breakfast and drive back
Breakfast near the landing area, certificates for everyone, then the drive back to Marrakech, about 4 to 5 hours after pickup.

Hot air balloon Marrakech small group flights: why private is the answer
People often ask us for a small group flight. Our shared basket is a large one, with other guests beside you, so it is not small. The honest way to fly in a small group is to book a private balloon for your own family or friends.
That also means you fly with people you know, at your pace. Grandparents can take the accessible basket with a door and a seat if we arrange it in advance, and children are not squeezed between strangers. If you would rather share and keep the cost down, the shared sunrise flight is €135 per person.

Proposals, birthdays and anniversaries
A private basket is the only sensible setting for a proposal: no audience, no rush, and the pilot can help with timing. Photos without strangers
In a private basket every shot of the sunrise has only your faces in it. If you want pictures of the whole group in the air, ask us about a professional photographer when you book.
Families with children
Children pay a reduced price and must fly with an adult. Send us their ages and we confirm the price and whether they can fly. A private basket gives younger guests more room at the edge.
Same safety, same rules
Private or shared, the pilot checks the weather at dawn and decides. If we cancel for weather or safety, you choose a new date or a full refund.
Your own car on request
The standard transfer is included. If you would like a private car for your group, ask us and we arrange it for the morning of your flight.
Questions about the private balloon
Is anyone else in the basket on a private flight?
Only your group and the pilot. The ground crew drive behind the balloon to meet you at the landing, but they do not fly with you. Other balloons may share the sky, as on every busy morning, but your basket is yours alone.
Why is the price for 3 or 4 people on request?
The cost of a balloon and pilot does not shrink much with fewer guests, so the fairest price depends on the date and the balloon we use. Send us your date and group size on WhatsApp or through the booking box and we reply with an exact figure.
Can we choose the take-off time or route?
Not really. Every flight takes off at sunrise, and the wind decides the field and the direction each morning. The pilot picks a safe route on the day and tells you where you are likely to land before take-off.
Can we bring a baby or toddler in a private basket?
Ask us before booking. Children must be able to stand safely and see over the edge of the basket, so whether a very young child can fly depends on age and height. We confirm when you send us the details.
Do private guests get a different breakfast?
The Moroccan breakfast after landing is the same generous spread on every flight. Private groups can ask for a decorated private table, and for occasions we can add a cake. Tell us what you have in mind when you book.
Is a private flight better for nervous flyers?
Many nervous guests find it easier. The basket is calmer, the pilot can talk them through every step, and there is no pressure from a crowd. Take-off is gentle, and the briefing explains exactly what to expect at landing, including the position to hold.
